Sarah and Me
Sarah et moi
Sisters and best friends even in the dream world!
Emma came from Scotland and Sarah from a First Nation in northern Saskatchewan. They met in the nursery of a Montreal hospital, where their mothers, young teenagers, were forced to abandon them. A social worker by profession, Marie-Andrée adopted them and they became loving sisters, as different as they were inseparable.
A stupid and tragic accident turned their lives upside down: at 15, Sarah fell into a deep coma. Although devastated at first, Emma understood that, far from being over, her relationship with Sarah was taking a mysterious turn, more intense and deeper. Their lives would take on a completely different dimension and would never again be ordinary. People and events, past, present and future, outside the limits of space and time, would lead them down unexpected and unpredictable paths.
Flat on her back, immobile, unconscious in a therapeutic bed, Sarah takes her sister with her into territories that are sometimes fantastic, often terrifying, always bewitching – the universe of dreams. A world that has no limits, but whose foundations are always the same: love and friendship.
